The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... From the moment we arrived, the reception team greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism, making us feel instantly at home. The Library Room was an absolute delight—elegantly furnished with plush seating, rich wood accents, and a curated collection of books. On the morning, we were treated to an exceptional breakfast spread, offering a diverse array of delicious options.

This was our second stop upon arrival in Sri Lanka, after a night and day in Colombo. It has been my and my daughter's top favorite hotel and stay, because mainly of its colonial and historical charm. A wonderful place, led by a female manager, which is to be underlined, a very nice lady. The staff is local, the attention to detail as well (!), the food and breakfast are super copious, generous and fresh, there is a nice à la carte menu, and the pool is wonderful. My daughter enjoyed it! We were lucky to be and visit Galle during the week-end, so we didn't feel the over-touristic crowd and atmosphere, since many Sri Lankan were strolling along the city walls, visiting. This is definitely a very touristic spot, the many shops attest this, but there are a few very nice and niche places. Stay min 2 nights, and if you can and want you may tour the nearby beaches and towns and wildlife reserves from there, this is possible. We've also enjoyed our train ride from Colombo to Galle, which is not too long and absolutely wonderful in the lush coastline greenery. We loved our room, its setup, the geometry and decoration of the hotel, the beautiful purple lotus flowers and the local touches everywhere. Chic. It pleased my eye every day!

Hikkaduwas asuv Camellia Dwelling pakub rahulikku ja mugavat majutust ning tasuta WiFi-ühendust kogu majutusasutuses. Kohapeal on lopsakad rohelised aiad, ööpäev läbi avatud vastuvõtt ja tasuta... Good location, clean and big room, also clean bathroom. Price was also cheap - around 25euros a night.

Seagreen Guesthouse - Galle Fort asub Galle kindluses ning pakub soodsat majutust. Külalised saavad kasutada tasuta WiFi-ühendust ja mugavaid konditsioneeriga tube. Everything. Best accommodation we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka. Room was spacious and clean. Shower was HOT, which is rare for Sri Lanka. Hosts were amazing - so friendly, welcoming and made sure me and my partner were happy at all times. The food at the guesthouse is 10/10, and the cheapest we found in the fort. They also have an amazing little puppy who just completed our stay!! Would 100% recommend!!

Villa Amma Erna tervitab külalisi välibasseini ja tasuta internetiühendusega. Hotellis on moodne interjöör ja stiilsed ventilaatoriga toad. The views from the property were absolutely amazing! We could just hang out by the pool in the morning and watch the peacock and monkeys fool around which was a blast. The room was perfect with high ceilings, an abundance of natural sunlight (can shade if you want), and as clean as can be. The host and staff couldn’t have been more kind! They helped arrange rides, provided local dining options, activities to consider…pretty much you name it! The breakfast spread we had in the morning was, without question, the best we had during our trip! We couldn’t have been happier with the little time we were able to have there & we owe it all to the amazing people running it!!! ☺️

I recently stayed at this charming homestay located within the historic Galle Fort, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the fort, with easy access to its cobblestone streets, boutique shops, and delicious restaurants. However, the real highlight of this place is its stunning rooftop. The rooftop offers one of the breathtaking sunset views I’ve ever seen, specially you can enjoy lot of people hanging around on holidays with their family & friends , watch locals playing cricket , see people sitting enjoying the sun set on the wall & some even flying kites on the ramparts along with the sunset which is RARE. Every evening, I found myself eagerly heading up to watch the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant oranges, pinks, and purples as the sun dipped below the horizon. The panoramic view of the fort, the ocean, and the surrounding area made it feel like a private paradise. It’s the ideal spot to unwind with a cup of tea or a good book after a day of exploring. My room was beautiful & perfect with the Balcony & it had everything you want to make your stay comfortable. Comfy bed & water pressure was great. It had 2 large French windows which gives a bright light to the room. The homestay itself is cozy and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful tips about the area. While breakfast isn’t included, there are plenty of fantastic cafes and eateries within walking distance, so it wasn’t an issue at all. If you’re looking for a peaceful and picturesque place to stay in Galle Fort, this homestay is an excellent choice. The rooftop alone is worth the stay, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves a good sunset view. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

Unawatuna ranna kõrval asuv Sergent House paikneb butiikkuuroopa arhitektuuriga villas, mis on pärit 1800-ndatest aastatest. A beautiful hotel in an old building. Interesting details. Amazing staff and location. There were always about 5 people in the hotel, but it was always quiet and comfortable. I definitely recommend

Sri Lanka Hotell Dunes Unawatuna on keskkonnasõbralik butiikhotell, mis asub kauni Unawatuna ranna lähedal (100 m/5-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel). The room was beautiful, beautiful design and very complete. We enjoyed being in the room, which did not happen that often in Sri Lanka. A 10! Breakfast not included which is smart, like this you can eat whatever you feel like. We had a smoothiebowl and avocado toast, which we really enjoyed.
