This is a quirky - in the best sense of that word! - and gorgeous hotel in a gorgeous town. Our room was very pretty, and the location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Lucca (home of Puccini - make sure you go to at least one of the one-hour Puccini concerts that are offered every evening just minutes away from the hotel, with a different program each night!). But the outstanding feature is the breakfast - absolutely superb (you can even scrape your own honey from a honeycomb)! We found the staff to be very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

Offering air-conditioned rooms, Hotel San Marco features a swimming pool. Lucca’s marvellous walls are 500 metres from the property and Porta San Jacopo are a short walk away. Parking is free. I liked a lot communication in the hotel, very helpful and chaty reception. During breakfast they did amazing decaf coffee for me. Area is nice, and the design of the hotel is nice, and very relaxing!
