The Rock Inn nearby is WONDERFUL. Skip the nearby Tavern, and drive the 10 minutes. It is worth your time. A refreshingly local pub after all the franchises. You won't realise what you've missed until you've stepped into this haven.

The staff was extremely lovely, friendly and helpful. The place is so whimsically decorated it puts a smile on your face, with such a chill and cool vibe. Wonderfully located with a pub right next to it, a cocktail bar on the opposite side of the road and many restaurants in walking distance. We didn't get to spend much time in Folkestone but it seems like a very cool and interesting town. We were mostly disappointed we only had one night there and would LOVE to come back.

Staying here was wonderful! The breakfast each morning was amazing, and Peter went out of his way to make sure there were plenty of kid friendly options for our girls. Staying here exceeded every expectation I had! The room was beautiful and there was PLENTY of space and beds for our family of 4. The location is also so great! It was a VERY short walk from the main part of town, and we really enjoyed the short walk each day. Our kids (6 and 8) could easily make the walk all around without complaining.

The friendliness of the staff was just one of the highlights of our stay. The breakfast was amazing, with a great range of choice between cooked and continental. The room was extremely comfortable with plenty of space to spread out and not feel cramped. The shower is a proper walk-in shower and not over a bath, which for us was a much appreciated bonus. It was within easy walking distance to the city centre, Canterbury Cathedral and the bus terminal.
