Samira was a wonderful host, and I couldn't be more thrilled that I was able to stay at her property. In fact, I only booked for one night, but loved the location and property so much that I booked a second. To speak anthropomorphically, Dar Zaz is a home, not a hotel or a hostel. It is centrally located near the Blue Gate and sandwiched on a side street off of shops that offer more than just tourist paraphernalia (although that's there for you, if that's your thing), but also shops for toiletries, food, and other bric-a-brac necessities. You're also a very short walk from the Hammam Spa which was glorious. Dar Zaz was a respite after days of travelling through the country by car. Every artifact in the home is clearly selected carefully to not only provide comfort, but also a sense of Moroccan beauty. The property itself has modern amenities (finally, a washing machine), a rooftop terrace that is very private feeling, plenty of shower/bathroom space, comfortable beds, all the outlets worked, and it was impeccably clean. I made a fateful error of not being able to collect my keys at the time I originally requested, and Samira kindly stayed and waited for me with tea and pleasant conversation. Honestly it was my first real conversation in over a week of travel and I was so glad to have it. She is a wealth of knowledge about her city, and you should soak in as much as you can. There's nothing more to say other than enjoy your stay.

A recently renovated property, Evasion authentique, Riad familial avec terrasse is located in Fès near Royal Palace Fes, Medersa Bouanania and Bab Bou Jeloud Fes. The location was excellent and the property was an authentic beautiful house.

Set within the Fes El Bali district in Fès, DAR SEFFAH au cœur de la Médina has air conditioning, a patio, and mountain views. The manager met us at the parking and helped with the luggage,the place is located in the middle of Medina so it was easy to walk around,the alley close to the house was dark but we felt safe.She explained everything The house has 3 floors and the design is stunning: nice beds,comfy living room,good showers and open rooftop.The breakfast was prepared by Fatima and it was really delicious!It was like a private "us only" Riad!

Located in Fès, 1.9 km from Royal Palace Fes and 600 metres from Bab Bou Jeloud Fes, Dar Chez Khadija provides spacious air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. This dar was our favorite place we stayed during our visit to Morocco, and we stayed at 4 different places. The moment you walk in you are greeted by exquisite Moroccan decor, architecture, & furnishings. The fountain in the entrance area is so relaxing and beautiful, as well as the stunning mosaic tilework and ornate ceilings and trimmings around the doors. We felt like we were staying in a royal Moroccan palace. We loved having breakfast on the rooftop terrace, and Yassine greeted us with a pot of Moroccan mint tea and pastries upon arrival. He made us breakfast every morning and helped us upon departure to get some medicine at the pharmacy for our daughter who wasn’t feeling well. He was so friendly and helpful and we really appreciated his time making sure we had everything we needed. We took a guided tour arranged by Yassine and it was great. If we ever return to Fes we will without hesitation stay here again! The photos don’t even do it justice. It is located in the heart of the Medina so it’s ways to walk everywhere for restaurants, shopping, hammans, ATM’s, or anything you need.
