Gorgeous views, clean and quaint lodging with plenty of room to spread out for a family of four, with just the right amount of amenities and an incredibly kind and helpful caretaker on site who makes himself available for anything needed; from restaurant suggestions to how to open/close the gate to a private chicken coop tour. :) Francisco was a true joy to meet. This site is full of little wonderful surprises. On our too short of a stay we found a cute personalized welcome message board, squeezed in a soccer game on our own field with goals!, enjoyed an unexpected mini-view of the volcano (thanks to Francisco), and found fresh eggs in our kitchen from Francisco’s own chickens! We wish we could have partaken in the ‘Be a Farmer for a Day’ activity offered. It was all lovely and magical, but hands down the best part of this place are the caretaker and host. When I was horrified to discover we had accidentally left the premises with the tv remote control, I was sure I would have a terrible time returning it to them as we had already left the area. But the host worked with me quickly to facilitate a smooth and easy way to return it to the house by the end of the day. No problemo! De mi corazón, gracias F y D!

The location was perfect for Lankester Botanical Garden and was an oasis in the middle of the city. The property was very clean and well appointed. The night traffic was light and allowed a great rest.

Featuring mountain views, Cabaña de Montaña provides accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 14 km from Ujarras Ruins. The owner came to the bus station to pick us up. The place is a smaller size cabin as advertised, in middle of nature, beautiful views of the valleys, very quiet, we were lucky, the toucans came to the berry bush by the entrance door and we enjoyed them from the house.

The hosts were amazing, supplying us with an extra fan to combat the heat, and really delicious fresh fruit from their farm!

Very helpful owners. A 4x4 is definitely needed to reach the place. Make sure to check the road conditions beforehand.
