Mr. Shim is an excellent host. He is incredibly attentive and always there to help. We mentioned we wanted to ski and he made arrangements for us to rent the ski equipment at the Phoenix Ski Park. When we drove there, we were greeted so kindly and they even sorted our parking and sent us to the ski park and pick us up once we were done.

I just had the most amazing stay! The house was surrounded by gorgeous snow, perfect for fun snow sledding with the kids. Our host was super friendly and welcoming, even treating us to delicious pajeon when we arrived. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the bidet, total game changer! Very peaceful location, room was large and comfortable. Balcony space was excellent. Prime location for getting onto the motorway and visiting the surrounding areas. Some restaurants and a convenience store at the bottom of the hill. But it doesn't take long to get to other areas to find a shop or other restaurants.

Really friendly and helpful staff made special efforts to help us when our car couldn't climb the icy driveway on arrival, and they provided complimentary shuttle service to and from Phoenix ski park for us every day. Our room was essentially a family apartment, complete with living room and kitchenette, and nice views of the mountains. Some Westerners may not like the relatively hard mattress on the bed and the futons in the second bedroom, but we have been living in Korea for over a year and are accustomed to Korean sleeping habits. The underfloor heating is great too, and very nice to sleep on! t would be a great place to visit in summer too, with a nice-looking swimming and relaxed camp vibe.
