Best hotel I've ever stayed in. It's more like a retreat than a hotel. Four or five quiet comfortable bedrooms in a stunning, peaceful location, with its own private path down to the bay, and prize winning gardens where the sound of running water fills your eardrums. I felt totally renewed after one night there and I cannot wait to go back.

The cottage was beautifully renovated and so spacious, facilities were top class. Everything in the property is quality. Love the little fire in the lounge room adds to the ambience. Beds are so comfortable too.

The house exceeded our expectations. Spotless, well appointed, all needs considered. It’s a great house for people with mobility needs with open floor plan and wet room showers. Very comfortable living room with lazy boys for everyone. Great location when driving. Short walk to a beautiful swim spot. The host Aileen was very responsive and communication was easy. I highly recommend this house for anyone staying in this area. I’ll be back.

    The setting was incredible, an old, remodelled farmhouse that was equal parts charming as comfortable. The bedrooms were cozy, the bathroom amazing, the kitchen had an old feel to it and one could get a sense of old Ireland! I had my morning coffee in the garden listening to the birdsong and sheep. I highly recommend this place; it is perfect for couples or families. We did the Skellig Michael landing tour the following day which was outstanding!

    Loved the peace . The views from the cottage were amazing . Scenic walks to do. . Kerry cliffs . Geokaun and Valentia lighthouse worth a visit as is the heritage centre. . Already looking forward to a return visit .

    We had the absolute privilege of spending a few days in Cul Cottage over Easter 2024. Ger and Derarca have created something really special here, allowing people to experience a step back in time on the edge of Ireland. Staying in a 200-year old cottage is, of course, not going to be the same as a modern holiday home...the house has its quirks and that's part of the charm! Bring plenty of fuel for the stove, get cosy and enjoy this very special place.
