Very much enjoyed staying at Funken Lodge. Three points I would like to highlight in particular: Friendliness of each and every team member. They really want you to have a great time! Very cozy and comfortable lounge areas where you can hang out before or after your activities. The breakfast and dinner in the restaurant are exquisite, and the view from the tables is just mind-blowing.

I was greeted with my name at the door and the staff were all so friendly, kind, and helpful. It felt like I was talking to friends whenever I needed help with anything. They arranged excursions for me which were lots of fun and I really recommend, especially the husky sledding. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and the style of the interior of the hotel is beautiful and unique. It had a lot of character. The breakfast was tasty with a variety of choices and the chef takes one’s allergies into account. There is free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in reception and it was nice to sit there with other guests and have a drink with locally produced alcohol. The location is along the main shopping street of Longyearbyen and the airport bus stops right outside. Absolutely lovely experience. I will certainly come again.

Before my trip I had many questions and the hotel response all of them. Also the helpful staff perfectly organized for the airport shuttle service and the local activities. Location is great, in the middle of downtown and uptown. Junior Suites are located in the annex and is not accessible via the main building but it is just 10-20 meters distance and the annex is really quite. Lastly, special thanks to Camila, she was very helpful. I'll definetely stay here in my next visit!

The apartment is cozy and modern, it has everything you would need, great view, and for photographing the Northern Lights it is pretty close to the end of town and a dark area where visibility is quite good. About 10 minutes to the town center by foot as well.

The apartment was quite spacious. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cutleries. Remembering some of the reviews, we took some ingredients with us and brought some from the supermarket nearby. We had two bedrooms, but one the bedrooms did not have a closet. The apartment was almost always at a comfortable temperature. We would love to be back here. Sound and air insulations were really good. We had a good overall stay!

Very clean hostel, showers and bathrooms very clean. Comfortable beds and nice breakfast. Location is not in center of Longyearbyen but walkable distance, which is very good anyway to walk more and see more of nature of Svalbard. Staff is super nice and welcoming, they gave me very good advice for tours on Svalbard and helped me to book it. If you come from airport with airport bus Flybussen, this is exactly last stop of it, same on day of departure bus to the airport starts right outside this hotel. Very very convenient! Thank you very much for your hospitality!
