Claremorris is a lovely town, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to visit. It's an excellent base for visiting Galway City and also Co Galway, Co Mayo and Knock Shrine (a must). Only half an hour drive from Ireland West Airport. Loved staying at the McWilliam Park Hotel.

Claremorris is a good base with restaurants and a rail connection to Westport, Castlebar and Ballina (Dublin too. Places worth visiting are Cong, Achill Island, Turlogh museum, Westport House, Connemara, Jackie Clarke museum in Ballina. The shrine at Knock is close if you like that sort of thing. Airport is close.

Claremorris is a friendly place to visit and has a-bit of everything. There’s also a good bus and train service. By car It’s 15 mins to knock shrine, 25 mins from west Ireland airport (nr knock), 55 mins to 1hr to Galway. Brickens Lurgan Lodge House is 12 mins by car from Claremorris.

Lots of facilities in the area such as a leisure centre and also a shopping centre with a late opening chemist. There are also a number of supermarkets and pubs / restaurants close by. Lovely town that is close to a number of locations so ideal if you are planning to travel around the Mid West of Ireland or further afield. Good coach and bus links plus a train station too, so plenty of travel options, including being close to Knock Airport.

We loved that the apartment was in the centre of Claremorris so easy access to resturants & shops. And the apartment was very comfortable and modern. Beds & pillows were very comfortable so we slept extremely well plus lovely good quality towels in the large, well equipped bathroom/ shower.

Friendly staff in particular a very pleasant young bar man who provided great service and a chat. Lovely made to order breakfast. Very cosy, clean bar that was full of character. Rare in a hotel bar. Handy parking at the back of building. Good value stay overall.

As a visitor to your hotel I & my family stayed in room 3. My complaint was that all through the a.m there was a very loud noise coming from either the heating system or plumbing system which did have an a large effect on the quality of my sleep.
