Lots of places to visit close by.
Lots of places to visit close by. The Maritime Museum and Submarine Museum are excellent and an explorer ticket gives a years access to 4 museums and a harbour boat ride. I found an excellent tea room and a lovely baby clothes and toy shop in the town. I am a sea swimmer and there were several groups that welcomed me to swim with them. Fantastic location at any time of the year. Local shopping high street.parki g can be an issue as it's pay metered. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs. I actually went back to Lee to remember my holidays as a child pre and post war. Lee is a find place to relax - not much to offer in terms of amusements but a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sea front and scenery of the IOW. We only stayed one night as we were attending a function but the area where the guest house was, was quiet and near to the beach area. Seemed to be popular with dog walkers in the morning.
