Munich was just supposed to be a change of flights but when Lufthansa cancelled the flight home and greeted us with armed police instead of extra customer service personnel before frankly just closing the doors we had a desperate search of room for the night. I would describe the room as a modern high class design. Everything was clean and of good quality. Espresso machine and minibar in the room. Very quiet. Window facing the car museum/sales hall with a flashing sign which was a bit disturbing but easily solved by shutting the shades. If you are into sport cars you are going to love the display of old and new luxury automobiles. This was open all night to guests.. Good cooked breakfast.

Generally, almost everything was perfect or close to perfect. The staff was helpful. The room was perfectly clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was diverse and tasty. There is an underground parking but reservations are not possible. The price for the parking (12 euro in September 2023) looks fair, especially in comparison to other hotels and cities. The hotel is not placed in the center of Munich, but it's very close to the metro. Moreover, not being in the center means it's also quiet. Last but not least, the hotel is elegant and nicely decorated. All in all, fully recommended, I'll definitely choose this hotel again in the future, when I come back to Munich.

If you are looking to be in the centre of town and within walking distance to most of attractions, then Hotel Deutsche Eiche is for you! My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and loved it. The highlights were location, while close to everything it’s in a quiet street so no sleep issues. The free mini bar is amazing! What a great idea, topped up each day it was awesome to come home and crack a beer. The rooms are large and well equipped, the shower is wonderful with lots of water pressure. The hotel has easy access to the trams and trains. There is a restaurant at the hotel and lots of cafes, bars and supermarkets close by. We also found a laundromat a 10 minute walk away which was cheap and good. An all round great place to stay!

Location is super convenient , stayed in hotel before and after our trip to Austria (thru Muninch). Many restaurants/cafes near around. Easy access through trains to city attractions. Room/Bar with 1Euro beers and free beverages - is very useful and interesting concept. Well though rooms design especially in quiet-room of 2nd floor.

    Munich, you have stolen my heart!

    Munich, you have stolen my heart! 😍 I had an absolute blast at Oktoberfest, the vibe was electric and it was amazing to meet people from all over the world. Gutted I only booked one day there. I’ll have to return to see all 14 tents in their finest action. As we only managed to visit 4. The 3D basketball court was a total highlight – so cool! Next time I’ll bring a bball to shoot hoops there 🐐 Shopping at Woolworth was a fun experience too. Next time, I'm definitely doing the hop-on hop-off bus tour. One thing that wasn't so fun was the ridiculously long queue at the train station help desk – yikes! 😩 Can't wait to go back and explore more of this awesome city! 🇩🇪

    Loved the Oktoberfest and general celebratory vibe of the city and convenient location of the Elexa Hotel which was close to the Oktoberfest "meadow". There were also numerous shops to buy the regalia for the Oktoberfest

    Great tradition of Oktoberfest.

    Great tradition of Oktoberfest. The traditional beer tents were lovely and the whole festival atmosphere was a wonderful experience. Marienplatz and the Residence were beautiful historic places. Lots of historic buildings and churches to see. The English Garden was a good a long walk and the Deutches Museum was very interesting - thought-provoking exhibits, great modern feel, within an old building.

    Unfortunately the station is a building site, hindered some navigation of the area but not by much. Hop on hop off bus was just around the corner which was A great benefit. Getting round Munich was fairly easy. Lots of bars & restaurants to choose from.

    I liked the ease of using the S-Bahn to get to places. When it was needed, taxi or uber arrived in a timely manner. Most of the streets were very walkable as long as you abide by the pedestrian signals. Most working people spoke English, so transactions were very easy. There were many interesting places to see but my favorites were the Residenz Palace and Marienplatz area. If you are handicapped, they do not have easily navigable areas, but they do try to assist as best they can. The beer is delicious here.

    Always love visiting Munich, such a clean, bright and beautiful City. I love the experience of Oktoberfest and visiting the various bier cellars, especially the famous Hofbrauhaus. If you've never visited this City, put it on your list as a 'Must Do'

    This hotel was well run with good, helpful staff. The economy room was as described- no frills- eg no aircon but absolutely acceptable. Best feature ( not mentioned anywhere ) is its location. Although in a suburb,the underground station to everywhere is about a ten minute walk away. The underground system is extensive so city centre and other sites very accessible and cheap with a day pass. It’s a proper hotel and family owned.

The staff were professional, welcoming and friendly. Excellent customer service. The room and bathroom were a good size and very clean and the desk was handy. The bed was comfortable, Coffee machine and water.

    The staff was so friendly and helpful every time we need something. The location of the hotel was very close to the city centre and we could go by walk to most of the attractions. The money we paid for the stay was worth every penny as we also add the breakfast for quite a good price. If we come back to Munich, we will definitely choose this hotel again.
