They were very helpful and friendly while we were staying at their property. The service was exceptional. The location is very close to the airport. They gave us a pickup from the airport and sent us to pick up our rental cars. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and quiet even though it is close to the state highway. The photos are accurate. Highly recommend.

Host are helpful to come and assist us when our 4WD could not drive in to the driveway due to the snow. We were allowed to park our SUV on the road. Very nice, comfortable place. We loved the place so much.

A lot of people have pointed out that it offers little privacy due to the many glass panels and windows but we didn't find it a problem as there were ample blinds in all the rooms and shared spaces. The fact that each room had its own bathroom was a huge plus point. The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed to cook a simple breakfast. Location was fantastic too. Easily the nicest place we stayed at during our trip around the South Island.

They did not have to do this. Chalet - very nice and cozy. High quality items provided in the chalet If I go back to Lake Tekapo, Sunset Chalet will be my first choice.

The room was airy with two separate sliding doors giving access to the garden and decks with tables and chairs for dining outdoors. The room got the morning sun. The bathroom was spacious, and two glass walls of the shower opened right up. The breakfast was laid out for the guests from 8 to 9am, and included mostly breads and sugary things and dairy, which is typical for European breakfasts. I don't eat sugar or dairy, but managed to find enough: boiled eggs, fresh fruit and cold cuts.
