Highly recommend letting the Wildhideaway team look after you while you visit Wilpattu National Park. The suite was very spacious even for a family of 4. The bathroom was huge and modern with a nice hot water shower. The plunge pool was delightful, so refreshing. Location was so quiet and the air conditioner worked perfectly so made for very comfortable sleep. They arranged our full day safari at a good price, we didn’t need to do anything but turn up. They packed breakfast and lunch for us and then had dinner ready when we came home! The thing that made this place so special was the warm and friendly service from Anta and his team. Always there with a huge smile, making us feel so welcome, and the food they made for us (as vegetarians) was SO delicious, the best we’ve had in 3 weeks in Sri Lanka.

We spent a few wonderful days at Twin Waters, hosted by Andrew, and the experience was simply magical. Nestled between the river and the sea—less than 100 meters apart—the place is a true haven of peace, surrounded by stunning nature. The nearby village offers an authentic glimpse of local life: fishermen, unpaved streets, children’s dance classes, a small church… And just 2 km away, the bird sanctuary is a true gem for nature lovers. Starting at 6 a.m., the sky comes alive with the graceful flight of beautiful birds—an unforgettable sight. The chalets are well spaced out, offering total privacy. The meals, both Sri Lankan and European-inspired, are delicious and lovingly prepared by Andrew’s attentive team. The staff are incredibly caring, and the fellow guests we met were warm and inspiring, adding even more magic to the stay. A true hidden gem, a timeless escape. Without hesitation: 10/10.

Nirvaan Safari Lodge se nachází v destinaci Wilpattu a má restauraci, pokojovou službu, bar, zahradu, terasu, venkovní gril a výhled na jezero. Milý anglicky mluvící personál. Zařídili nám pěkně safari v jeepu s průvodcem Zionem, který opravdu dobře znal jak zvířata tak rostliny. Jídlo v ubytování bylo skvělé. Check in pozdě večer nebyl problém.

TEMBO Cottage Wilpattu se nachází v destinaci Wilpattu a nabízí celoročně otevřený venkovní bazén, bezplatné Wi-Fi a neplacené soukromé parkoviště pro hosty, kteří přijedou autem. Clean, comfortable and lovely surroundings. The staff were so kind and helpful. And the organised safari was amazing!

The Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Food available a'la carte (pre order is required), tasty, with vegetarian options aswell.

MKS - Kite & Wing Foil camp se nachází v destinaci Kalpitiya a poskytuje bezplatné Wi-Fi, kola zdarma, zahradu a soukromou pláž. Na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště. MKS is a fantastic spot to learn how to kitesurf from scratch. It has all elements required, good wind, good equipment, shallow warm waters and best of all, an amazing team of great kitesurfers who hosted us with love! The concept of morning Yoga was also super relaxing.
