Waterside Cottages & Villas - Self Catering is located on the banks of the Notwane River, a 14 km drive from Gaborone CBD. Guests can relax in luxurious thatched, self-catering cottages, nestled amongst unspoilt bush and natural surroundings. I was very impressed. Zero bureaucracy, respectful of my privacy, didn't have to make copies of my passport and credit card like I had to do at all 3 previous hotels I have visited in Africa (Nairobi, Lagos, and Johannesburg). There was an issue with the main property gate where a thunderstorm rendered it inoperable and they fixed it with little fuss. Overall very impressed.

Kgale Hill is 18 km from the accommodation, while Gabarone Station is 20 km from the property. Sir Seretse Khama International Airport is 30 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. The whole set up is great and Mike was a fantastic host.

This was a very relaxing and easy place to stay when in Botswana for a conference. The breakfast is excellent and served on the roof with a view of all of Gaborone. Friendly staff, very clean, airport shuttle on time and convenient.

Complimentary shuttle service from and to the airport. Good breakfast included in the price. Really friendly staff everywhere. The restaurant on the 28th floor offers fantastic 360 degree views of the city. I had dinner and it was excellent. The terrace is very atmospheric.

the rooms are a true representation of what is shown in the pictures. They are clean, with modern fixtures. It is a serene place and offers great level of comfort and privacy. A very lovely place indeed, hence i keep coming back :) I love that they have added more chalets.

A beautiful, peaceful chalet surrounded by nature, yet a short drive to the city of Gaborone. The staff and the host were incredibly kind and friendly. The breakfast supplied was plentiful and full of variety and the daily cleaning service was a surprising bonus. We loved strolling through the property and along the river and enjoyed seeing so many varieties of birds, butterflies, and indigenous plants. What a gem of a place!
