His welcoming warmth made us feel at home. We picked him up and drove out to his camp not knowing what to expect. We were remote, away from the tours, with waves of golden sand at our feet. After tea, Beth and I walked the dunes to watch a lovely sunset. After a delicious tagine, we were surprised with a full moon rising and a sky of stars. The quiet was deafening, then broken with Berber rhythms from Larbi, his brother Nayim and friend Bryham. We danced by the fire and then shared life stories. We now have a new desert family.

Mhamid Sahara Camp Activities - Le Chant du Sable se nachází v destinaci Mhamid a poskytuje sdílený lounge, terasu a výhled na město. Na místě je dostupné bezplatné Wi-Fi. Located close to the Erg Lihoudi dunes. Not big dunes, but you can experience the sand colors during sunset and sunrise. The road to the camp is accessible to any type of car. The communication with the host was perfect, and I was waited in the nearby village to be guided to the camp. Comfortably sleeping in the tent. Clean toilet, hot water, shower. Good meals, but the dinner is overpriced. If you need wifi, the hosts provide hotspot access on their phones. Otherwise, note that Internet over Orange is not reliable. The hosts are very attentive and caring, persistently asking if everything is ok.

Amazing experience in the dunes of Erg Chigaga. The location just in the middle of the dunes is perfect and very relaxing. Mohammed was very friendly and nice. The transfer to the camp was interesting as we were going through a desert storm so it took over 2 hours. On the way back, it took 1.5 hours. Transfer was for 90€. I would definitely go to this camp again for more nights. 🙂

We enjoyed our stay at Nomads Heaven Camp very much. Moloud is a very experienced host and guide, very proficient in different languages. Very friendly! Food was good and typical moroccon dishes for breakfast and dinner. Everything was reasonably priced. It was very quiet, approximately 6 km from Mhamid. You live in tent-like clay buildings. It was rather warm inside during the night. So we did not need warmer clothes inside. You can walk 200-300 m and you enter an area with smaller dunes with super fine sand. We just sat there and enjoyed a sunset and sunrise there. So it is "desert experience light". Be aware that the real desert with the big 100m high dunes is 60 km/ 2h away. Moloud could have organized a tour by 4x4 and/or camel. But that would have taken us more time, also one person had health issues. So ideally you spend 2-3 days. And stay in the "real" desert overnight.

We had a great time in this beautiful and peaceful environment in the dunes. So many stars! great rooms and delicious food! the staff is super friendly and helpful! they can organize everything for you from pick up from the airport to short or long excursions to live and explore the amazing desert by dromedars or 4X4. 100% recomendable!

Great spot for enjoying the desert! we did a day trip to Er Chigaga from the camp and was amazing! Mubarak and all his team are great. was very nice hearing the story of Mhamid around the bonfire

Erg Chigaga Regency Camp se nachází v destinaci El Gouera a nabízí zahradu, sdílený lounge, terasu, přístup na lyžích až k ubytování, vybavení pro grilování a výhled na město. 10/10 doesn’t describe how amazing this stay was! A true desert immersion. We had a transfer from Mahamid. Our driver and also our guide spoke great English and provided an amazing experience, showing us the Nomad villages on the way. The food (we had lunch, dinner and breakfast) was one of the best we had during our 10 days in Morocco. The camp definitely exceeded our expectations, was right next to the big dunes, was super comfortable and clean, with our tent having a private bathroom with a shower and hot water. We took a camel ride to the big sand dunes and sand boarded down them. Cannot recommend enough! An absolute must when you’re in Morocco!
