The place is absolutely wonderful, the staff is lovely and they make you feel at home. If you want to do excursions like a tour in the ancient city or a safari: they will arrange it and they make sure you have everything you’ll need. The chef also makes delicious meals. Maho was our best stay in Sri Lanka within 4 weeks. Large rooms, great sanitairy, and a lovely bed with pillows feeling like clouds.

Accommodation is next to the road so can be a bit noisy at night.

Location was well out of the way with an amazing lake within a few minutes walk with trials to walk also bit perfect for Wilpattu national park. We had an amazing experience in Wikpattu Mooklan Resort! The owner and his son were taking care of us all the time and organized a great safari! It was a full day trip at a very affordable price, We managed to see 3 leopards, bear, elefant, crocodiles, tones of deers, and many, many other species of mammals, reptiles and birds. At night we could hear a lot of animals and it was an extremely peaceful time. The food was delicious and made with love. Absolutely recommended place!
