Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. The property was so nice. A great location! I wish we could’ve stayed 2 days there. I think there are lots of interesting hikes thru forests. We only had time to see a nearby waterfall. We saw northern light from the outdoor hot tubs.

Hotell Hótel Jökulsárlón - Glacier Lagoon asub Höfnis, 11 km kaugusel Jokulsarloni liustikulaguunist. Kohapeal on spordikeskus, tasuta eraparkla, restoran ja baar. This place is brand new and amazing. The hot tubs and sauna that overlook the glacier are definitely the highlight. If you get lucky (like me) you might even get to see the aurora while sipping an excellent cocktail in the hot tub. Other than that all the staff were very kind and professional. The hotel's restaurant is great and offers amazing food made with local ingredients. Also their signature cocktails were delicious.

Aia, tasuta privaatse parkla ja terrassiga hotell Halond asub Akureyris, 39 km kaugusel Godafossi joast. The room was new and modern, clean and spacious. Not exactly in the center of Akureyri but a very short 5-7 min drive which was great. We could park right outside the room and bring in our luggages through the terrace door. Great location for spotting the Northern Lights.
