The bathroom had plenty of counter space. The shower had hot water, which was wonderful considering our last place didn’t. The home is beautiful, with a very large dining table. There’s an outdoor area, too. We didn’t really make use of it, but it was nice. It was a block from the main street and a short walk to laundry. Laura and Sergio were so friendly and accommodating. They told us how to get to a trail we wanted to hike, and where to see the best view of the sunset. They gave us recommendations for restaurants, too. We even had a great game of Dutch Blitz with Sergio (he won…beginner’s luck 😉😆). The breeze coming through the windows was so refreshing. We appreciated the use of the main area and the fridge. There were other guests there but we didn’t really see or hear them. It was very quiet and serene. The grounds are very pretty, and you can’t beat the setting, with mountains all around. It was a great stay! I would definitely stay here again. 100%. Valle de Anton is my favourite place so far.

We were tucked away with our private garden with a couple of adirondack chairs to enjoy the fresh air and views of surrounding mountains. The kitchen looked well stocked, but we didn't use it since we were there for only 1 night. Warm water in the bathroom and good water pressure. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer...but we will be back when we have more time. The host was very kind and helpful...she even helped me carry my bags to the room since I have to use a cane to walk.

Patti is a wonderful host who is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The accommodation is tranquil, surrounded by beautiful nature and wildlife, in the middle of the forest. The town is easily accessible via a pleasant 30/40 minute walk. I spent 4 wonderful nights relaxing and will for sure be back.

Location was excellent, with comfortable beds and all the required amenities in good working order. Perfect for our 3 night stay. It’s a 5 min walk to a good size supermarket, 15 mins to the main ‘downtown’ Avenida with restaurants and the mercado. 3 amazing hikes to the top of the ancient caldera, and the butterfly farm is a must see. We were able to park our car inside their gate, and the home is a 15 min walk to access one of the 3 primary hikes in the area, India Dormida. Jose and his partner, Liz, are wonderful hosts, and made us feel like family. The breakfast is simple and filling, and we could use their fridge and also made a meal or two using the kitchen facilities. Jose and Liz are gracious hosts and Jose is very witty. They made our time there a truly fun and memorable experience. Communication was excellent, in English and Spanish, despite my spouse and I having very limited Spanish language skills. Local knowledge, tips, and recommendations on things to do in the area were great and super appreciated. Finally, Jose joined us on one of our hikes and he made it super fun and interesting with his knowledge of local flora and fauna.
