Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. The greatest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The location is perfect- it's near the bus stop and pretty close to Open-Air Museum. I also loved the onsen, both of them were clean and nice. The common area is cool and everything you need is there. I absolutely recommend it!

The garden and onsen were outstanding! The little resraurant served some delicious dishes for dinner and the staff were very accommodating. We had a charming traditional room with tatami mats and a marvellous view of the garden and mountains.

We thank the host and everyone who made our stay here very comfortable. Importantly, the owner speaks English very well. The room is spacious and comfortable, has everything you need. We really enjoyed sleeping on the futon! Yukata and haori are wonderful. And it is impossible not to note the presence in the room of a Nintendo console with rare games: Mario, Zelda and others. 3 private onsen with different water temperatures. They are available to guests 24 hours and without restrictions. It is very convenient that you can watch online whether onsen is busy or not. This is a small thing, but it makes so comfortable to visit the hot springs, you do not need to go down from the room and check whether it is occupied or not. Well thought out! The common area is also wonderful. Here you can drink tea/coffee/water after visiting onsen. Use a massage chair, play games, read manga. Well, breakfast! Mmmmm, how delicious everything was! We also had a few requests for food, since we do not eat some products and the host replaced some items in the breakfast so that everything would suit us. Thanks for this care, it was so nice. This is a truly amazing experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Every time we remember living here with warmth and delight. We really hope to come here again someday.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Everything was perfect. We booked two nights and enjoyed different dinner every night. Every tiny detail of the accommodation was thoughtfully planned. Special thanks to the young singer, her performance was superb.

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. Everything was absolutely perfect: the place, the location (although it is a bit further up from the Lake and the main attractions, but there is a bus, so there is no problem getting to places), the staff. I booked the dinner, the breakfast and the private onsen: it was a dream. Everything was absolutely delicious and the onsen was extremely relaxing. The staff is kind and welcoming. If I am ever going back to Hakone, I will definitely stay here again. Also, there is a cute souvenir shop near the reception, I truly suggest to check it out. The ryokan provided a yukata that you can wear on the premises, with instructions that proved very useful, and I thought it was a very nice touch. My biggest regret was not buying it at the souvenir shop mentioned before and not trying the public onsen.
