Offering mountain views, Mountain Ecolodge is an accommodation situated in Gubukklakah, 24 km from Bentoel Museum and 25 km from Bima Sakti Hall. The view was stunning. The room was super comfortable, clean, and spacious. Mary was kind and professional. She helped me book a Bromo tour and organise a driver back to Malang.

The owners were lovely and answered any questions as well as tried to help out as much as possible. The dormitory was so cute and spacious. I literally felt like i found a home away from home.

Situated 11 km from Saung Angklung Udjo, Rumah Lereng Bandung offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as an infinity pool and an open-air bath. The guesthouse is built by a dutch couple who has lived in Indonesia for almost 20 years. They build this place step by step and maintain the condition of housing with considerable intention. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, with many details to discover, such as the old wooden furniture from East Timur and the garden panorama designed according to specific slope angle. The local host in charge is an Indonesian couple. They are super friendly and willing to share life stories with guests. Cats and dogs in the facility are well taken care of. It is highly recommended to read the booklet of the "History of Rumah Lereng Bandung" during the stay. In sum, this is one of the best place that I've ever stayed.

Rumah Jawa Guest House (Syariah) has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Yogyakarta, 2 km from Fort Vredeburg. This is a great cosy family-style boutique hotel. It is very beautiful inside. The breakfast is great. The staff is super friendly, kind and helpful. They helped with any special requests and they also helped with tourist information and booking. It is great if you would like to be more closely to some Indonesian way of living beyond the standard big hotels. I would immediately stay there again.

Situated in Banyuwangi, Mocca Guest House features free WiFi and units fitted with a kitchen, balcony and seating area. Really liked the nice neighborhood and the size of the homestay- high ceilings and spacious social area felt like a comfortable family home. Our host set up our trekking tour for us with a great guide- everything included- which was so easy, and we had great laundry service done. Water, tea and coffee available to self-serve and beer was available for purchase- nice details!

Located within 2 km of Araya Golf & Family Club and 6.1 km of Museum Mpu Purwa, INNI Homestay features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Malang. The family who run the place are lovely. So thoughtful and generous. We booked multiple excursions through them and they went above and beyond to make us comfortable. (They lent us water shoes for Tumpak Sewu and even threw some cushions in the car for our long drive) Breakfast was made after our Sunrise at Mt Bromo despite us being a few hours late for breakfast. If you’re in Malang, stay here!!!
