The host, Michael, greeted us on arrival, helped us settle into our comfortable room and called to book us a table at the best restaurant in town for dinner. There is a lovely and eclectic dining room with a sitting area that has tea, coffee and cake available at any time. Definitely a win for me! The breakfast is cooked to order, with full English, Vegetarian and Vegan options as well as cereal and fruit juice. Wooler itself is a charming town with a lot of restaurants, cafes and local shops and it's a short distance to any number of excellent hikes and historic sites. We especially enjoyed Chillingham castle.

What a great find at very short notice! Our room was extremely comfortable and had the best shower. I think it was my best night's sleep in many weeks of travelling. We were provided information on where we could get a meal in the next village and they even booked a table for us. We enjoyed a drink at the bar, chatting with other patrons, before setting out to get dinner. We were served a delicious breakfast in the morning before departure. The locals were all so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to this village, and this pub, on our next trip to UK.

Comfortable room that has everything necessary. Perfectly clean and ideally located. Check-in is super easy and great communication by the host. Absolutely recommended!

I was doing a working vacation; it was great being able to spend the morning working and looking out at the crags and then hiking the crags in the afternoon. Excellent location to be based for hiking both east and west, and a 40-minute walk south down to Twice Brewed for supper. Would stay again.

Lots of unexpected extra touches, like lemonade & ginger beer in addition to water - much appreciated on a hot day Choice of food for evening meal was excellent & breakfast was perfect Staff were very friendly & helpful

Room was spacious and comfortable. Hosts were very knowledgable of the local area and gave great advice on places to visit.

I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this facility, the location outstanding and the facility itself was far above expectations.I will use them again if and when i can return.
