The host was friendly and allowed me to stay longer on check out day. Perfect spot if you plan to visit Shark Bay and Salinas without a tour (1h walk each way and 1h walk in between)

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to get to know the real Sal and its people. The owners went above and beyond to make me feel not only welcome, but truly at home. The room was super comfy, and the food was always delicious (be sure to try one of Candida's secret recipes for dinner, if you get the chance). I was provided with all the help and advice I needed in order to explore the island, and Candida and Martin personally took me to places that only local people know about. If, like me, you prefer a quiet, remote beach over those crowed, touristy ones: there's a small one just a short bicycle ride away – although I usually opted for a walk through to beautiful steppe landscape to get there. If you prefer spending your days with the other tourists down in the south of the island: Santa Maria beach is only 20 minutes by bus – which may sound complicated at first, but is actually super fun and convenient (and it only costs 1 Euro). I could go on praising this place for two weeks (which is actually the amount of time I stayed), but I'll just stop here – not without saying: Thank you, Candida & Martin, for the wonderful time at kleine schweiz! The apartments are modern, very clean and superbly equipped - very important for us: the comfortable and clean bed. The hotel is also very quiet and ideally located for us, right by the beach and also by AnguloBeach for water sports. JC is a really attentive host who was always helpful with many bookings such as car rental, taxi and restaurant tips. An absolute recommendation for a stay on Sal!

Milu, the owner, is super nice, attentive, goes above and beyond to help you with anything and makes you feel part of the family. The rooms are better than the pictures: huge, clean, comfortable and silent. My room was cleaned daily except for 1 day. The location is good: 10 min walk from Santa Maria, in a quiet area. Breakfast is fantastic and varied. Wifi was fast and also worked in my room.

The accommodation itself was absolutely perfect: clean, well-equipped, and with a breathtaking view. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!
