Situated just 15 km from Nhabe Museum, Discovery Bed and Breakfast features accommodation in Maun with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, as well as full-day security. Accommodation was clean, comfortable and very attractive. Set in a lovely garden and decorated in a charming Botswana theme. Dinner was excellent, featuring traditional dishes, and breakfast was delicious. Our hosts and their team were friendly, informative and efficient.

Featuring garden views, ASKIESBOS - Samochima Bush Camp features accommodation with balcony, around 200 metres from Krokovango Crocodile Farm. This is a very special and welcoming place. We stayed for 2 nights and also had the chance to do the boat sunset trip. Lots of information during the trip and it was really a pleasure. We had a fantastic time and it would be a place to repeat without any doubt. The dinner was good and the owners and staff are really friendly.

Featuring a bar, Kgaka Guesthouse is set in Maun and is 13 km from Nhabe Museum. The guest house offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Although the pick up was just under £8 to get into the town for supplies and return was double this and really added to the bill. Although it was value for money because we took a while shopping, it was something to consider. We liked that it was available though. The room was very modern. The place was very secure and safe.

Stayed TWICE- the staff is first and foremost the best part of the stay. Ray and the two ladies who rotate as the front desk managers so helpful and kind and smart! Their in house guide (when he’s not taking clients on safari) is the loveliest gent to sit and chat with about wildlife. The room is Huge and comfy- and all rooms have good views ( except I was there in winter and the riverbed was bone drydry, apparently if Id come a week later the dusty bowl facing the windows would be running w water) so if u really want a water view call them up first. I rated it good value cos most of the stays in Maun skins tourists and safari goers. Water view aside, I loved massive trees shading the property, the active birds at dawn and dusk. Breakfast is hearty and simple precooked stuff , cheese, cold cuts and boiled eggs, INCREDIBLE pear and nut bread Id kill to get recipe of, and good espresso on tap. No meals on site, they order delivery for you, extra for delivery fees but it’s very fair prices not gouging. It’s a bit out of way from town if you don’t drive (like me) so I’d probably stay elsewhere but still happy to return. This property is definitely a step above the average. One of two (of the 7 places I bunked in on safari Namibia and Botswana) with both aircon and heater which was great cos temps hit 5C the two separate nights I stayed.

For the price I paid I can't complain. It's very clean and modern. It's in a residential place so you need to hire a taxi to get to town each time

Situated in Maun, 12 km from Nhabe Museum, Rustic Gate Lodge and Campsite features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. What a great spot, away from noisy Maun, but close enough to enjoy the perks of Maun. We had no difficulty finding the place, although you need to drive a few km over dirt road. The staff was very friendly and well organised, the food was delicious. The chef made a special vegetable diner for me, on request, which made me very happy. After diner (with great view) you can sit around the campfire to share your days experiences. The staff can organise all kinds of activities, we wish we had known that in advance. This lodge is absolutely worth a visit, don’t hessitate is you think about going here.
