The lady that received us and took care of us is the nicest, most welcoming host we’ve ever met. The room was just marvellous. we didn’t really want to leave the premise at any point. It’s actually 10x better even in real life than on pictures. Breakfast was incredible too. 100% worth every penny and more.

Grange Manor was recently refurbished so the room was pristine. Loved the rubber duck in the bathroom, it set the tone for a warm and pleasant stay. You selected your breakfast preferences the night before and it was served in your room at a time of your choice.. Absolutely delightful.

The host met us when we arrived and was very welcoming and friendly. She offered advice about the area showed us around the room, including a few extra goodies that we probably would not have noticed that she not pointed them out. The room was immaculately clean, very quiet, the bed was amazingly comfortable and we got the best nights sleep we’ve had for several nights. The location was superb, the area around was totally charming inviting to walk around. Easy access to several different dining possibilities, and there was a Tesco express almost next-door. were very impressed and would definitely stay there again.

the perfect score. a very nice room in a very nice hotel with very nice people. the room was cute and comfortable, the breakfast was very good... with salted butter without asking, a dream i'm not used to. If you go to Cartmel this hotel is the place where you need to stay for the night

The staff was amazing, helpful at every turn. The room was spacious, and very well kept. Breakfast was excellent.

On the shores of Levens Estuary, The Bay Horse Hotel is just 2 miles from Ulverston centre. With cosy log fires and a traditional restaurant, there is also free parking and free Wi-Fi.
