Aia, terrassi, restorani ja baariga Sea Sand Resort asub Kalpitiyas. Kandakuliya rand on umbes 200 meetri, Kudawa rand 600 meetri ja Kalpitiya rand 2,1 km kaugusel. If you never been to Kalpitiya, it has a sense of being on the outskirts of civilization. Here you stay nestled among the houses of the locals and share the beach with its fishermen. Beside great kite- and windsurfing (and endless beaches of course), there is not a ton of things to do in Kalpitiya. Scuba diving is good, when there is visibility. Dolphin watching is also a possible activity, but quite an expensive one that last a couple of hours. You won’t find any city center with shops, bars and restaurants near, but you can of course visit other resorts and use their facilities. However you should know that you have a very good restaurant on site if you stay at the Sea Sand Resort! This establishment is made up of about 10 small bungalows with a restaurant. The bungalows are quite basic, but very clean and comfortable and represents good value for money. Within about 10 minutes or more on foot, you can reach surf schools and beaches. From my own experience I can promise that you will be very well taken care off if you chose to stay at Sea Sand Resort.

Top notch family run resort; delightful and beautiful; easy and classy; a truly hidden gem close to the beach (4mn bikebride) ; by the river; large estate surrounded by mangroves, trees, palmtrees; the food (made to order by the “mamma”) is great; personalized service and lovely pool

Kitelantis pakub laguuni ääres majutust Kalpitiyas. Kohapeal on veespordivahendid, välibassein ja mitmed teised mugavused. Majutusasutusest avaneb vaade laguunile. We had a great stay in this beautiful resort. It started with a warm welcome and a lovely fruit juice. The rooms were very spaceious and so clean. We loved the outdoor shower. The swimmingpool is great and also is the common area. They serve a great breakfast and cook great meals. Everyone is so friendly. We booked a lagoon tour which was great. They realy took their time and even took as swimming. I would highly recommend this place to stay. Thank you to all the great staff for giving us an incredible time.

Windy Waves Kite Beach & Nature Resort is true to its name. Set in a beautiful location the huts and facilities are built from locally sourced natural materials in traditional village style (by the staff). It is an absolute treat if you like simplicity and sustainable design. The staff are warm and friendly and go above and beyond. When I left some things behind they were delivered back to Negombo at no cost. Super grateful for a memorable stay. Would love to come back.

Surfpoint Sri Lanka Kite Village asub Kalpitiyas, Kudawa rannast mõne sammu kaugusel. Kohapeal on aed, tasuta eraparkla, erarand ja ühine puhkeruum. SurfPoint Sri Lanka is a really cool spot to spend time, to base from for kiting and/or to take lessons. I did lessons and the quality of the instruction was outstanding. The hotel is comfortable and has a really nice common area where people hang out, eat, and talk story about the day’s adventures and have a laugh. Nevertheless, the hotel is nice and quiet for sleeping. The value is excellent, the food is good and competitively priced, and the staff are wonderful. I highly recommend SurfPoint Sri Lanka, and I plan to return.

This area SL low key not all built up, quieter! The great breezes make it kite surfers paradise, and the breezes make the huge covered porch a nice place to hang out.. The family that manages very helpful, content & beautiful. They make good food, and help arrange local needs. The first night I stayed in budget room, but then upgraded for 2 nights to the larger cabana because it has better cross ventilation & surfaces to put things on. Both size rooms have your own porch with cushioned seating. Neither rooms have a/c but you don't need it with the good breezes & room fans.

Grillimisvõimalusega Wild Wadi Wilpattu asub 2,5 km kaugusel Wilpattu rahvuspargist (teine sissepääs) ja 13 km kaugusel Kalpitiyast. Kohapeal on tasuta eraparkla. The room was built well, spacious and had a great AC. From the room windows we were able to spot animals like monkeys and squirrels, and we saw plenty of birds in the area as well. The staff were AMAZING. Super helpful and nice, always available for questions and explanations about the wildlife. We booked the safari tour from the hotel and it was great decision - they provided us with great food and we were accompanied by Shantha, a guide from the hotel, who was friendly, professional and thanks to his knowledge we were able to see two different leopards in two different days. We recommend asking for the tour with him.

Quiet place surrounded by lush greenery, with few rooms only and with beautiful view of the lagoon. Staff are very nice and helpful, food is amazing. Take a dinner with them, no many options in town!
