Azores Smart Studios is located in Ponta Delgada, 13 km from Pico do Carvao, 25 km from Sete Cidades Lagoon, and 26 km from Lagoa Verde. The property is set 28 km from Fogo Lake, 28 km from Lagoa Azul and 32 km from Lagoa do Congro. Every room is equipped with a flat-screen TV with cable channels. We stayed at Azores smart studio for 6 nights in July with our 2 daughters of 5 and 7 years old. The studio is amazing and had everything we needed. The location is perfect with litterally just a few minutes away by foot of many restaurants and the ocean as well. They offered cleaning after 3 nights we were there, which was also very appreciated. Parking can get tricky, but the free public parking near by (1-2 min walk) was available most nights. Otherwise, street parking is fairly easy. Spotlesly clean and comfortable apartment with separate bed- and bathrooms, close in the centre. Staff at Reception of the Hotel was very nice and attentive. We could ask take away breakfast for the day when we had to leave early, on the rest of the days we had our breakfast at the Farm Hotel (700 m away from the Brum), which is so nicely furnished. Breakfast is the same every day, but plenty and delicious. I missed a bit the choice of vegetables.

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and views of sea, Alto do Forte is situated in Ponta Delgada, 16 km from Pico do Carvao. There is a spa and wellness centre comprised of a sauna, a hot tub and a hammam. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Very new and modern, clean with gym, sauna, jacuzzi, outside pools, workout room, special showers plus an excellent breakfast. Claudio and the reception crew were super friendly and helpful. The staff will clean your room and assist with the clothes washer. Full kitchen and dishwasher. Many of the 14 rooms have gorgeous decks. Ours had two decks ! Elevator, air conditioning and free garage 👍

Joao was a very friendly, communicative and proactive host; we found some groceries placed in the apartment for our arrival; and he was very understand when something broke. The apartment itself is located very centrally, but the street is mostly quiet apart from occasional construction noise from the house across the street (which is bound to be temporary). There's a free parking lot 4mins' walk away which we always managed to get a space on with a bit of patience. The apartment kitchen has all the basics you need for cooking at home, and the living area is spacious and comfortable. I saw other reviews on other apartments mentioning cockroaches and mould - not an issue in this apartment! The humidity was very high in November when we were there, and that was felt in the apartment (our clothes didn't dry very well), but that's hardly something the host can fix, and there was no mould anywhere in the apartment. Overall, would recommend!
