We were very much in doubt about this place, due to the low ratings. However, the reality is that the hotel was hit badly by the December 2024 earthquake and they are currently rebuilding the place. We got one of the new rooms. Thus, everything is freshly painted and all furniture is new. Consequently, we can highly recommend it for a night or two if you need to be close to the airport. It is just a short walking distance.

Featuring a exclusive waterfront access, an outdoor pool, Fatumaru Lodge is located along the Fatumaru Bay. Free WiFi, a private patio and lovely ocean views are standard in all apartments. Everything about the lodge is beautiful! We only spent a night there but loved it! I’d go there again for sure. The beds are soo comfortable , staffs were friendly and supportive too. Very close to good cafes and local buses pass by the door. Fridge and kettle in room and good kitchen on site. Edie can arrange airport transfers for you. Would definitely stay again and we would have stayed longer if it wasn’t booked up. 10/10 place
