On the way back from Termez to Samarkand, he gave my mother a kilo of dates from the date palm tree in his garden. He found me a taxi and saw me off. I don't know how to thank him. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, very comfortable room with a view of the river and Afghanistan on the other side, Great breakfast and very good restaurants just meters away from the hotel, Lots of shops to buy traditional Afghan items, clothes, tea, saffron and much more ! Very good parking within the Free zone, To get in and out of the Free zone you go through passport check, but it's very fast, it's all within Uzbekistan
