Was really special and nice. Very nice, cosy village. I made a beautiful morning walk through the surrounding fields. Great books to read there on the surroundings, the war and its small stories (noted by the owner!), the interior design,... Great location; close to Epernay and Reims.

The accommodations are great: new construction, everything works right. Great sleeping situation: very comfortable bed, dark and quiet room. The shower is excellent. There is pride of ownership and the place is kept very clean. Speaking of ownership, the owners are very nice. They made the breakfast for us the two days we stayed. There was a pleasant amount of interaction with fellow guests at breakfast, along with the owners, talking about great things like travel and champagne. Speaking of champagne, the whole tasting thing works differently in France than in the US. Out on a Sunday drive wanting to do a tasting? Non. Want to do some drinking at 9am on a Tuesday morning? Oui. Wineries here have hours like what your city government office would back home. And reservations are key, which can be a challenge if your French is limited. Staying here, at a production facility, makes it a lot easier and if all else fails, they have bottles in an honor fridge.

The hotel was much better than we expected. The rooms were exceptional. Bathroom was modern, large and nicely appointed. The breakfast was fabulous. Security and parking was great. The bikes were fun. The spa was beautifully appointed with an indoor lap pool. Even had a separate fitness room in the basement.

We stayed at Le Parc du Château for three nights this June. The stay was wonderful and worth the visit! Owners Angelique and Sebastian were really helpful, kind and friendly! The hotel has three rooms. Each room has a terrace where you can enjoy beautiful views to the forest and listen to wild birds. Rooms are very clean, well equipped and stylish. The hotel area is secure and has a parking. Breakfast was superb! Local cheese, ham, bread, delicious French pastries! Really enjoyed our stay at this place! The Hermonville town is in perfect location if you want to explore Champagne region. Everything is not far: Reims, Epernay, many champagne houses and villages. Please ask Sebastian for recommendations of where to eat, where to shop, what villages and champagne houses to visit! He knows so much about the region. Really helpful insights.
