A lovely small hotel built around a charming central courtyard. The hotel was an excellently renovated old style building.
A very nice restaurant / breakfast area, and nice surrounds.

The place is decent for the price you pay. However, the breakfast could use some improvement, and the cleanliness was lacking.

Due to problems on the road, we stopped by much later than the promised time, but a friendly girl waited for us and politely told us everything. We stayed here only for 1 night, so it was not possible to fully evaluate the apartment.

Cachi is a wonderful little town in a complete colonial...
Cachi is a wonderful little town in a complete colonial style situated at 2500 meters altitude. This helps with the temperature, which is around 25 degrees while it’s 30+ in Cafayate. Around the large square with tall, shady trees, there are several restaurants. All Argentine towns have such a large square, green and with shady trees. The squares, which are always called 9th of July Square or another famous date, attract both tourists and locals, and especially in the evening, there is a rich social life with music and performances. As always, people sit and drink mate tea from characteristic cups with built-in straws.

We stayed 2 nights and it was just right.
We stayed 2 nights and it was just right. I regret the museum was not open when we were there. A recent storm had knocked out the internet in the whole town and only one restaurant had it working. The main square is a charming oasis of green in the white-washed town that is clean and inviting.

Cachi was the jewel of the towns we visited during 3 weeks...
Cachi was the jewel of the towns we visited during 3 weeks in Argentina. The hotel was clean, contemporary with local art work, friendly employees, and easy walking distance to the plaza. The view of the hotel courtyard and pool was beautiful with Cachi in the background. Cachi was very walkable and clean. We happened to be there the weekend of the yearly music festival. We were too tired to attend but could hear the folk music from our hotel room, which was fun. If this could be a problem for sleeping you might want to check the date of the January festival, but it added to the charm to see the musicians arriving in costumes and and hear people singing along. This is a BIG festival in a small, charming town.

Cachi is a beautiful small town.
Cachi is a beautiful small town. We spent only 1 day but I would suggest 2-3 minimum. There are plenty of small towns nearby and some TOP NOTCH wineries and bodegas to explore. We're going back again and slowing it WAY DOWN.

There is absolutely nothing to detain the visitor in Cachi.
There is absolutely nothing to detain the visitor in Cachi. It is totally devoid of charm or attraction and there is no reason to stay.
The restaurants are of a very poor standard and the quality of the food and of service is dire. A forty minute wait after ordering was not unusual and then the food would be cold and virtually inedible. We could not finish any of the meals that were provided.
Cachi is, of course, on a wonderful route through the Andes and is difficult to avoid. If there is time, the traveller on this route should continue to the nice small town of Molinos with some lovely old colonial buildings, attractive adobe houses. and a very interesting church.
.It also has a very nice hotel - the Hacienda de Molinos , a former residence of a Governor of the Province - - with a very, very good restaurant. It is well worth the visit.

national park of cacti is gret
Good, quiet location in Cachi. Good restaurant. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. We had somehow ended up with two bookings for the same night due to a Booking.com error, and the management at the hotel canceled the second reservation the same day with no charge. The manager said he thought we were booking two separate rooms, but when we explained what happened, they were willing to work with us. Hotel is situated in a large, grassy property on a hill with good parking and a playground for kids.
The views of the mountains and surroundings incredibly enhance the stay. In the morning there are horses to be seen across from the fence, a dog to greet you, and and grapes from the orchard to taste.
This was a fantastic place to stay while in Cachi. Close enough to get into town easily, but a 5 minute drive away and you feel like you are in the mountains and at peace. Communication was excellent.
Beautiful, newly refurbished home on the edge of Cachi. The room is spacious with high ceilings and adobe walls. Good Wi-Fi connection. Super kind and helpful hosts who prepared a lovely breakfast with local jams, delicious!
We loved the cat on the property, she was so friendly and cuddly, reminding us of our puppy back home.
Parking on the street just outside.
Absolutely magical hotel in a remote location not too far away from Cachi! The rooms were exceptional and the dinner was delightfully fresh. Virginia is an excellent host and her sense of pride in her family home is very apparent. It was difficult to leave the comfort of the Casa de Campo La Paya in the morning - we wished we had stayed here longer!
An amazing place. Absolutely beautiful. An oasis in the midst of the desert. We had a twin room which was a bit small. Couple rooms looked bigger. The beds were comfortable, great shower, the breakfast was wonderful. We ate dinner there, too. It was really wonderful. The art in the hotel was gorgeous, great little shop.
Lovely little hotel in the centre of the town. Owner was lovely! Comfortable bed with a great view, bathroom was well equipped. Added bonus of quick laundry service. Breakfast was included but could have included more option (although fairly standard from all our stays in Argentina!). Clean everywhere!
This was our favorite apartment on a recent visit to the Salta region. It was impeccably clean, had an amazing view, and well designed. Grab some groceries on your way through Cachi so you can BBQ in the evening and enjoy a leisurely morning in the well appointed apartment.
Nice hotel, spacious, beautiful, and very peaceful. Bit far from town but manageble if you have a car. Rooms are big and have a private kitchen and dining option. Nice sitting area outside and in. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. The Vinyard tour was interesting.
This property has real character. It is beautifully furnished and it feels as if you are a guest in the owner’s house. Breakfast was good and served with the other hotel guests in an elegant dining room. It is a very short walk to restaurants and the main square.
Well-decorated and picturesque house, lovely and interested host who was super helpful and had many great recommendations for us. We immediately felt at home. Thank you so much for the amazing stay, Mavi! Highly recommended for couples who drive to/through Cachi.
Beautiful hotel! Lovely rooms/apartments with lots of facilities. Comfy beds and lots of places to relax. Pool was added bonus! Vineyard tour was great and able to taste their wines also. Breakfast delivered to you was a lovely added touch!
- great location (outside of Cachi, a car is recommended, but in our case it was, what we were looking for)
- nice rooms (without an AC, which was not needed during our stay (mid February)
- good restaurant
A small wooden cabana on a family’s land - you need a car to access as several miles above Cachi on unmade roads . Hot plate so we could make dinner , and fabulous views sitting outside
