We had a wonderful time at this hotel. It’s friendly and comfortable. We loved the unique style and the big rooms. It’s really close to the kasbah and the palmerie which makes it a great spot to start exploring the environment. Breakfast and dinner were also tasty and sufficient. The staff was lovely and very, very helpful.

Very nice pool and garden area with plenty of seating to relax and very peaceful. Rooms were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was good and owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even let my husband put his moth trap on in the garden at night which was greatly appreciated by him and he was really interested to see all the amazing species living here.

Traditional Morrocon riad, we booked two rooms as the family rooms were fully booked, but the rooms were next to eachother so that was perfect. The served at arrival free of charge. Very nice decoration and a swimming pool in the centre of the riad. Nicely done! Very friendly staff and delicious food!

A beautiful little shady green garden in the edge of the palmeries - super quiet, with a lovely pool (c. 9 m) to cool down in. A resident peacock added extra colour to the garden! Ismail and Mohamed were very helpful, and made excellent food, with lovely starting salad, a choice of tagines, and oodles of watermelon / honeydew melon to finish. (And when we arrived on the first afternoon with a bit of a picnic they were kind enough to sort us plates, cutlery, and add in their melon to the mix!). You just wanted to sit after dinner and take in the lovely quiet warm peaceful evening air as the light faded and the stars came out. We had a big simple family room away from the road. Walking distance to the Tamnougalt Kasbah (c. 1 km), which you should definitely visit.

The walk through the Palmeraie was so nice a lot cooler than else where. People working in the fields were very friendly. Really enjoyed my tour through the Caid’s Kasbah. It is a amazing building being restored to its original glory. Wish I could come back in a few years to see the results. My tour guide was wonderful. Even though I do not speak much French he was very patient and spoke slowly so I could understand him and we used lots of hand gestures. I actually learned a lot.He even took photos of me during the tour as I was alone and emailed them to me. Such a personal touch ! Best Kasbah in 23 days
The property and rooms were lovely, beautiful design and attention to detail, many interesting artifacts and carved furniture. The owner and staff were super friendly and helpful. The food and tea were delicious and we had dishes we had not tried elsewhere in Morocco, so that was a nice surprise. The location is great; we had a nice walk through the palmerai and also over to the kasbah where the grandson of the Quaid gave us a tour. I would highly recommend Dar Jnane to others.
We had a wonderful stay at Dar Sofar. Pierre and Valerie and the staff are kind and helpful and real. Dar Sofar is absolutely beautiful. So many places to sit in the gardens and by the incredible pool. Rooms are great. Covered parking is on site. We ordered dinner and it was amazing! Breakfast was too. Great advice on walking through the palmeraie and local sites. One of our favorite stays in Morocco, and in recent travels. Truly an oasis.
This was absolutely one of our favorite places in Morocco. Such a serene and beautiful location. Away from the bustle of town, in the peaceful heart of the palm oasis. We spent a day walking to Tamnagoult to visit the Kasbahs, which was also magical. I can imagine in the summertime, this offers a bit of spite from the desert heat. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend it!
The location was excellent, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating and helped me find local businesses. I was greeted with tea and sweets. The place has a lot of amenities (like a laundry machine) you won't find in hotels and is very spacious. The breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to explore a more authentic Moroccan city.
The space is very beautifully designed, the pool was simply fantastic, an incredibly peaceful place to stay. Owner and all his staff were very accommodating and genuine. My room was basically perfect. Very well decorated and comfortable, and traditional style thick walls meant cool, dark, and quiet sleep. I have stayed at other nearby hotels and this one hands down wins.
Great stay. Super friendly and helpful staff. Amazing property. Beautiful gardens and unique room design. A truly local vibe. Worth an overnight in Agdz just to stay here. Bedrooms were heated. Very comfortable common room to take tea and meals. Home cooked meals were great, abundant in portion size and affordable. I wish we could have spent the day and another night.
The man who runs this place is amazing. In a monthlong stay in Morocco this was my favorite place. He transformed this part of the kasbah into a beautiful play to sojourn. He is charming and works very hard doing everything himself. He cooked us a lovely dinner and then played music for us. He also got us a guide to see the kasbah for a very reasonable price.
Amazing location a bit outside Agdz among palm trees and the (now unfortunately dried up) river. The huts/bungalows were very cute, there were several lounges/terraces/hang-out areas. Surreal view over the mountain from the main terrace. A close to nature feeling and a calm athmosphere. Amazing dinner, among the best we've had in Morocco. Highly recommend!
The setting of the hotel, in the middle of a date palm grove was gorgeous.
The rooms had a lot of character and were comfy.
great dinner and breakfast provided to our group, and the dining area (outside or inside) were clean and well-designed.
Staff was incredible and so helpful. they recommended a short walk through the palm grove that was amazing.
The location in the old village and the quality of the accommodation. Ismael also showed us around the old town and nearby Agdz as well as helped us organise dinner in the old Kasbah. It was the best stop in our Morocco trip. Would recommend anyone to stay here but unlike us make it more than one night
The dar is located in an almost abandoned ancient ksar - a fortified berber village. It is owned and run by Mustapha, who restored the place himself. For a slice of Morocco, it can't be beat. Our room had a spacious terrace looking out over the palm grove, and the dinner and breakfast were both great.
Cute and cozy guesthouse; makes an excellent stopover point on the way south; super-friendly French owners (English is spoken); nice garden, sun loungers, and swimming pool; best WiFi we had in Morocco; excellent couscous dinner; parking on site; great value for the price.
Beautiful hotel, stunning, serene location. Very traditional beber style building and decor, but no sacrifice on comfort or on quality of bathrooms and WiFi. The guy that owns it is incrediably welcoming and the breakfast and finner were delicious.
Everything. The hotel, the staff, the beautiful surroundings, the great couscous on the roof terrace with spectacular views, and the ever present birdsong helping you to sleep! Highly recommended.
The friendliest and most helpful staff we have met in our entire trip through Morocco. Especially Muhammad at the reception is a jewel for every hotel!
