I arrived very late one night and left early in the morning but it was made very easy. Instructions were simple and I had more than enough of what I needed in the room. Will certainly book here again if I needed.
Set in lovely gardens, Breakfree Port Pirie is conveniently located at the entrance of Port Pirie, close to the main road and minutes from the airport and coach terminal.

The only issue we had was with the name of the motel. On Booking.com it was called John Pirie, however the name is now Breakfree

The museum is a hidden gem, from the outside it did not look like much and the $10 admission almost put us off. However once inside we wandered for over 90 minutes and could have stayed longer.
The Risdon hotel is great for meals and the one 2 four cafe is terrific for breakfast.

Port Pirie is a city in SA that requires a visit to take in the history of our early settlers.
We had a great meal at the Black Pig we would definitely recommend. Don’t miss a tour through the Museum, a quaint building loaded with memorabilia. Driving around Port Pirie is easy on their huge broad streets. The Central Hotel was a great venue to enjoy Adelaide Cup Day.

Town isn’t that exciting really.
Town isn’t that exciting really.
But there’s a great little pizza place called A1. Friendly staff and great pizza.
And if you want a pub meal that well and truely fills your plate, but is way less than average go the the Risdon Hotel. And the staff on the floor cared about as much as the staff in the kitchen.

The room was modern and clean with the added bonus of a 5 person family room for a great price. Doesn't have a great outlook but this didn't bother us as we were only in the room in the evening.
The staff were very helpful, opening doors for my husband who uses a walker. We also had our evening meal sent to our room. The meals were very good. It was very close to the hospital and the center of town. We would highly recommend this Motel to anyone and will stay there again when we go back to Port Pirie.
A stunning little gem with quality fitout befitting a boutique hotel in a city location. Friendly staff and an onsite restaurant for dinner. Recently re-opened wasn't ready to provide breakfast at that time but once provided will make a fantastic stopover for business and tourist travellers.
We loved the location of the cabin looking out onto the water, it was just a bit too noisy when the trains and trucks went past
If the cabins were 1km or so inland the noise wouldn't be an issue, but obviously they were built where the lake is.
The bath was excellent!
This accommodation is the best I have ever stayed in at Port Pirie (and I have been there many many times!). Quiet location, lovely grounds and courtyard, exceptionally fitted out with everything you need (the convection microwave is a real bonus!)
The room was spacious and the furnishings in the hotel were classy. The hotel had a very good restaurant on site. We also found the location in the centre of Port Pirie was fantastic. Convenient car parking behind the hotel.
Great cabin for 2 people with excellent breakfast provisions. Lovely views over the lake .
The cabins are close to the highway , however the noise is minimal. We would most definitely stay thre again.
The property is gorgeous with a massive tranquil dam surrounded by beautiful native vegetation. The breakfast is delicious and generous. You must try this place if staying in the Port Pirie area.
I was a woman traveling alone and I appreciated the fact that I felt safe. The majority of the accommodation in port pirie the door of your room opens out on to the street.
