We stayed for a week and crammed in as much as we possibly could, yet still felt there was more we wanted to see and do. The city that sleeps is every bit as vibrant and iconic as it appears in films. Staying here first-hand confirms that all of the songs written about it are telling nothing but the truth.

NYC is a great place to visit- so much to see and do.
NYC is a great place to visit- so much to see and do. Would recommend a hop-on, hop-off service (use the nationally advertised ones for best bet) but even a walking/subway tour could keep you busy for days! Great museum, fantastic food, fun night life, lots of family activities and more! Our favorite place is always Times Square!

I loved the museums and the amount of things to do, but the smell of urine in the city was not nice. People take their dogs to pee on everything because green space is limited at best. I saw many homeless and that seemed to be the norm for a big town like this. I also have to note that marijuana is legal and people stand on the street and smoke it. Sometimes I felt overwhelmed with the smell everywhere of different things, but it is a big city. Transportation in the subway was great and easy to follow but you better be in shape because it is a ton of stairs and walking. I couldn't get to understand the bus situation but would have liked to. The city never sleeps and I found that hard to adjust to, they honk their horns every second and often. I am from a large city and the honking is really a New York thing. We ate at a place called Norma, it was Italian, and very good. If you cannot find food in New York then you are not looking. There is all different types of food on every block and its very convenient. I enjoyed how the places to eat mostly had outside seating and I enjoyed sitting and taking it all in. China Town had the best food in my opinion and it was inexpensive. I never got to Central Park so next time I would like to do that.

Fifth visit to NYC, and the first time having a long walk around Central Park . Made the most of subways visiting The High Line, Citi Field , Brooklyn and Staten Island. Plenty of boutique shops around Midtown. Can be busy so pre plan any tourist spots you want to hit. Not really for those who just want to sit back and relax.

It was great , very exciting , It is quite expensive though and a lot of people trying to sell you trips etc but that is understandable . There is a lot of entertainment and quite safe to walk around at night . Do not drive , there is a lot of traffic. We went to the Star light restaurant , it was amazing you have singing waiters and waitresses ,they were very good, we loves it there. Westway restaurant was also great , a lot of variety to eat there and priced reasonably . Avoid the Hilton Time Square , it is under renovations and the staff there , (Kenny) are not very helpful or friendly . We also went to Central Park, very beautiful ,and there is a lot happening there , we loved it there .
The location was amazing for a stay in New York City!! It is not only in the times square area, but it also has so many of the subway stations close by that it really is an amazing hotel location. I was pregnant at the time of my stay so having things close by and tons of options to get back to the hotel (in case I needed to go back to the bathroom, BTW there is a bathroom in the lobby that works with your hotel room card so you don't have to go all the way back up to your room) was a big deal and would recommend just based on location.
The Wallace is in an excellent location just off Broadway. We walked to the MET through Central Park and used the nearby subway station to access the 1 and 2 lines that go through the theatre district and all way down to the bottom of Manhattan. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but several breakfast and dinner places only meters away. Two of New York’s best food shops are also just around the corner. The hotel is friendly but low key, with new, good sized and very comfortable rooms. I will be recommending it to friends and family.
The location was perfect it was right near times Square and a lot of great places for sightseeing and shopping. We went to see Hadestown and it was only a 10 minute walk to the Walter-Kerr Theatre. The bathroom was spacious and clean. It looked recently remodeled but unfortunately that just made how awful the rest of the room was stand out even more. They offered storage for bags and items as we arrived before our check out time which allowed us to enjoy the city without carrying our suitcases around.
I spent my 40th birthday at the Courtyard by Marriott in New York Manhattan/Central Park and I had the most amazing time from checking in with Gen, to Jamie's (I think that was his name) hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream at the lobby, after bracing the snowy weather, and finally to the check out experience with William. The shower was lovely ( the right amount of hot water plus pressure), and the location is alright, many restaurants nearby and about 10 minutes walk from Times Square
The location of the hotel is perfect for visiting Manhattan. The hotel is in fact located right next to the station stop (34 St-Herald Sq) and from 34 street, in about half an hour by metro you can reach both the north and south parts of the island. In Herald Square there is also a CityBike station and bicycles are very convenient for getting around in summer. Furthermore, numerous attractions can be reached within walking distance (Times Square, Empire State Building, etc.).
I love the Flat and have stayed there three times now. It's a great "cheaper" option in the city while still allowing for private room and privacy. The restroom and showers are spotless and the staff have always been very nice. I'm 100% going to stay there again. It's a great middle ground so not in some dorm room hostel but not paying super expensive costs for a hotel room either. I wish there were more of these middle ground options in the city!
The staff at front desk were excellent. The gentlemen that helped with our luggage were also friendly and professional. They also took the time to help us with directions and places to have a bite to eat. We always offer a gratuity to the staff at any hotel or restaurant. The staff here were exceptionally professional and very nice. We will be back. Thank you! And hugs from Canada. Love the USA and our first visit toNew York City. Wow.
The room was very quiet, which is rare in New York City. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was a good size for a New York hotel room. The hotel is in the heart of Chinatown, with excellent restaurants nearby and many attractions with easy access by walking or subway. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Very nice hotel in a great location, just a few minutes walk from times square. We were also given complimentary cocktails when we checked in. Room was compact but very nice and a good view of the city. We also went to the rooftop bar which had delicious drinks and an amazing view of Manhattan
The Staff was very kind and helpful, the whole hotel is clean and in in good condition. we had a spacious room at the 19th floor with a nice view on the "New Yorker" and on "The Edge". The Subway is only 10 Min away and Times Square is nearby. A good choice for Midtown Manhattan.
The hotel is located right between Times Square and Hudson Yards; all the big touristy locations in midtown are walkable. It is super easy to access other parts of the city with the metro. Breakfast was ok, some parties, fruits, yogurts etc.
We love this hotel. This is the second time we’ve stayed and I would definitely stay again the next time I’m in New York City. The location is fabulous, the rooms are clean, and I just love the restaurants and everything about the area.
The location of this hotel was good. Nicely situated far enough from the chaos of Times Square but close enough to walk to the theatres and central to most destinations around Manhattan. Easy subway access.
Staff was very friendly. The hotel is located close to Times Square and Madison Square Garden and is great if you want to explore Manhattan. The Gym is also very well equipped! We really enjoyed the stay.
Fantastic location and excellent price for a great hotel in Midtown Manhattan. Walking distance from Times Square and a subway station at the end of the street makes the whole city very easily accessible!
The location right next to Central Park and within walking distance of Broadway, Times Square etc is good for a first time visitor to the city. It was the cheapest place I could find in Manhattan.
Location is a short 2 minute walk away from the very heart of times square.
One of the more affordable options (for Manhattan prices) in the area, and the room size is decent for New York City.
